****Cherokee Nation Concurrent Scholarship****

Payments cannot be made to 3rd party entities or “off campus” bookstores. Only one payment per semester per student will be permitted, there there will be no reimbursements if charges do not reflect on the invoice. The scholarship must be approved before books can be purchased. If you have any questions about this please do not hesitate to call the Higher Education office at the Cherokee Nation or come see me for assistance.

CHEROKEE NATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: https://scholarships.cherokee.org/

  1. Cherokee Nation Undergraduate Scholarship ($2000 per semester) Open to tribal citizens who are permanent residents of the 14-county Cherokee Nation Service Area and contiguous, not qualify for Pell grant funding. Funding is not available to students living outside these areas. Deadline TBA Available: March 2020!!.
  1. Valadictorian/Salutatorian Scholarship $1,000 /$750 Deadline not announced

Cherokee Career Services Program:   This is for students attending vocational schools. Need to apply within 45 days of school starting. There is Federal money and Tribal money.

Grant – Amounts vary from year to year based on number of hours enrolled, financial need, and classification. Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher per semester in order to continue receiving grants.

Part-time - $400.00 per semester
Freshman - $500.00 per semester
Sophomore - $600.00 per semester
Junior - $700.00 per semester
Senior - $800.00 per semester

Scholarship – Amounts are based upon the cumulative GPA and may vary semester to semester. 
Students must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher in order to continue receiving scholarships.

Part-time - $500.00 per semester
2.50 - 2.99 - $600.00 per semester
3.00 - 3.49 - $800.00 per semester
3.5 - 4.00 - $1,000.00 per semester
