Oklahoma's Promise

If you have an incomplete Oklahoma's Promise application, please come and see me for assistance. Applications must be complete on or before the day of high school graduation!

 

Required High School Courses*

Lab science (biology, chemistry, physics or any certified lab science; general science with or without a lab may not be used to meet this requirement ** )

Mathematics (Algebra I, Algebra II, geometry, trigonometry, math analysis, calculus, Advanced Placement Statistics)

History and citizenship skills (including one unit of American history and two units from the subjects of history, government, geography, economics, civics, and/or non-Western culture)

Foreign or non-English language (two years of the same language)
OR Computer technology
Courses in programming, hardware and business computer applications such as word processing, databases, spreadsheets and graphics. (Keyboarding or typing classes do NOT qualify.) 
(1 foreign language and 1 computer course will not meet this requirement.)

*Homeschool students and students graduating from a high school not accredited by the Oklahoma State Board of Education or a recognized accrediting agency must also achieve a composite score of 22 or higher on an ACT test taken on a national test date ("residual" ACT test scores do not qualify).
